Roade School’s A level students once again improved the overall results in both Year 12 and Year 13, with a number of students achieving straight As. 68% of the Year 13 results were graded A*-C. Particular congratulations to the Mathematics students, all of whom achieved a grade A or A*.
Despite the national picture presented by UCAS, the vast majority of our students secured their first choice university place.
Acting Headteacher, Tony Nelson said, “I’m very pleased that the results have improved yet again. Our Sixth Form continues to be a key strength of the school”.

'Taking pride in achieving our best'
At the heart of our work is a determination that every young person achieves at the highest possible level, both in academic terms and in personal development. Our sports specialism provides the framework within which these goals are pursued, whereby pupils are challenged to have high aspirations for themselves and are provided with a wide range of opportunities, to develop the appropriate range of personal and learning skills, which underpin success.
We set high standards recognising that young people thrive where clear expectations exist and are maintained, ensuring that everyone can benefit fully from these opportunities and achieve personal success within a school community, where the skills, talents and needs of all, are fully respected.
