Year 11 sports leaders have been busy organising Year 7 inter-form Sports Hall Athletics as part of their lesson programme.
 
Year 11 set up the event during core PE lessons and then delivered six athletics sessions to Year 7 forms. They fulfilled a variety of roles including: team managers, race officials and race starters. A special mention and well done to Harry Glenister and James Elliott for starting the races so efficiently.
 
Year 7 students supported the event with great enthusiasm and put in a great deal of effort. Events included an 8-lap race, hurdles and an obstacle race. Observations were carried out by Ryan Schofield, who awarded outstanding leadership throughout the event to Georgia Anniky, Lauren Stewart, Will Spear, Matt Dillow, Dan Gardener and Sophie McBain.
 
Year 7 students will now have an opportunity to compete for their school at the South Northants Sports Hall Athletics festival on February 3rd.
 
There will also be a club starting after half-term, with coach Pamela Timothy after school on Thursdays. Year 8 will be taking part in a Sports Hall Athletics competition on January 27. Miss England can provide more details about this event.
