TOP Link Conference

The Northamptonshire TOP Link Conference will be held on February 12th at the Benham Sports Arena. It is being hosted by Roade School Sports College, and all schools across Northamptonshire have been invited to take part.

 
Yr 12 Sports Leaders, currently completing their Level 2 in Sports Leadership, will be running the event. They are the Step Out Leaders, and will be planning and delivering a Leadership Conference for Year 9 and Year 10 Step-in Leaders.
The event will be supported by an athlete role model (last year it was Gail Emms) whose name has not yet been disclosed.

TOP Link is a National Strategy which has been set up by the Youth Sports Trust, and Roade has been selected following a strong application which was supported by leaders Dan Gardener and Georgia Anniky.

After hosting a successful pilot last year at Moulton the event is expected to attract more leaders from a greater number of schools this year. Dan and Georgia will be attending as Gold and Silver Ambassadors, and it is hoped that by 2012 there will be 49 Sports Colleges across the country delivering this project.
